Captions Announces A $25 Million Series B for Our AI-Powered Creative Studio

Within the first six months on the App Store, Captions witnessed over 100,000 daily active users and more than one million videos created on the platform each month. Since this debut in 2021, more than three million creators worldwide have used Captions to produce studio-quality videos from their mobile devices.

A new chapter

Today, Captions is thrilled to announce that we’ve raised $25 million in Series B funding in a  round led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and SV Angel, among others. Building on earlier rounds, this brings our total capital raised to $40 million. We’re looking forward to using this funding to further upend the content creation landscape and remain humbled by the support of our incredible investors since day one.
